Although traditionally a signal for help or a sign of surrender, this fabric scrap acts as a protective barrier from hot tea on the go.
As a returning student (15yr hiatus) I can say that my study habits just plain suck. But last night I actually finished a charcoal rendering (cube, cylinder, cone) 2 days before it was due = score! Semester is half way over and this is the first time I didn’t start it at 10:30p the night before.

One user’s way to solve the leaky convertible problem. A readily available tarpaulin was stretched to cover as much of the top as possible. This workaround would appear to be a suitable temporary fix for storing the car but probably not good for daily driving use due to the window blockage on 3 sides.
Car seat workaround featuring repurposed dress socks = reupholstering hack.
